AOL...You've Got A Scam

via 1938 NEWS

So AOL gets 80% of its profit from dial up subscribers that don't realize they don't need AOL for that because they have internet access on their cable or DSL service. To make matters worse, and more slimy, is many of these people are elderly.

What kind of scummy company would do that? Oh yeah, AOL. Not long ago, Tim Armstrong said they were going to try and reduce this part of the business as they ramp up their ad revenue. Then in their latest quarterly earnings report they talked about significant subscriber retention efforts.

Which is it Mr. Armstong, are you trying to reduce this part of the business or retain it? This is a terrible business practice, and a public company is misleading shareholders, it's time for the feds to look into this. You've got a scam.
